Dear parents and cadets,
When a twelve-year-old girl walks through our gates for the first time, they carry a suitcase, a little homesickness, and the hopes of an entire family. Our first responsibility is to honour that trust.
A cadet college is often described by its discipline: the early mornings, the parade, the neat rows of beds in the house. These things matter, but they are only the frame. What happens inside the frame is the real education: a shy cadet learning to speak confidently in a debate, a captain leading her house team in a final, a senior cadet staying late to help a junior with physics.
Our examination results are a source of pride. I am prouder still when parents tell me their daughter came home more confident, more organised and more determined to make a difference in her community.
